Black Arts Council Grant 2023


Program Description:  

The Berkshire Black Economic Council's Black Arts Council is proud to announce Black Arts Council Grant 2023.

This grant is for Black youth, ages 7-22 years old, to support local Black artist's equipment needs. Example include but are not limited to:

  • Paint, easel, sketchbook
  • Sewing machine, fabric scissors
  • Camera, poloroid film, tripod
  • Instruments, stage props, DJ turntables
  • Adobe, photoshop
  • Craft supplies: glue gun, collage paper and so much more!
  • Other (Not shown here)


Eligibility:

  • Applications must be completed by Black Artists between the age of 7 years old and 22 years of age.
  • Applicants between the ages of 7-14 must complete their application in person at The Berkshire Black Economic Council's office at 33 Dunham Mall, Pittsfield Ma 01201 ( To schedule a time to apply email Erica at assistant@berkshirebec.org or call BBEC at 413.441.0111) 
  • Art funding can support the following needs: visual arts, textile arts, photography, performing arts, graphic design, mixed media, music, curatorial arts, and more!

 

Instructions:

  • You will need to create a free Submittable account or sign in with Google or Facebook credentials to submit to these forms.
  • You can save a draft of your work if you would like to finish filling out the form at a later date.
  • You can invite collaborators to your application to assist you in the process. 
  • If anything changes with the information you submitted, please request to edit the submission
